LCE have designed this course to refresh participants knowledge for VDU Assessment build upon skills that you would have learned in the original VDU Assessors Training course, to ensure that best practice is employed when carrying out assessments on display screen equipment (DSE)

N.B. Candidates must have previously attended a VDU Assessors Training Course before proceeding with this course.

  • VDU related legislation relating to:
    • Sit stand desks
    • Tablets/laptops
    • Home working
  • Conducting VDU Assessments for alternative work environments
    • Mobile workstations
    • Hot desks
    • Home work
    • Sit stand desks
    • Recent developments in “Ergonomic” accessories
  • Addressing common issues arising during assessments:
    • Pregnancy
    • Returning to work after injury
    • Pre-dispositions

Upon completion of the course, candidates will know:

  • How to keep the assessment focused on the workstation
  • What is legally required in relation to assessments
  • Considerations prior to introducing ergonomic accessories
  • What to look out for with some of the more common issues i.e. pregnancy, return to work after injury

An LCE Certificate of completion will be awarded to each participant on successful completion of course.
