With many positions in workplaces involving working at a computer workstation for long periods of time, it is important that the workplace is optimised for the employee. There are a number of pieces of equipment at a computer workstation that may need to be adjusted to the specific person. Doing this will reduce the risk of injury or pain, which will improve productivity and reduce absenteeism.

This training course will provide delegates with the knowledge and know how to set up their own computer workstation to be ergonomically correct to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injury.

On completion of the course delegates will:

  • Understand the risk factors associated with using computer workstations
  • Appreciate the risk factors associated with poor posture
  • Be able to set up their own workstation applying the principles of good ergonomics
