LCE Certificate in Practical Ergonomics

“Ergonomics is the science of designing the workplace, taking account of the cognitive capabilities and physical limitations of the human body. Poor workstation design can lead to tired, frustrated and injured workers. This rarely leads to the most productive worker, more likely it leads to a painful and costly injury, lower productivity and poor product quality.

A systematic ergonomics improvement process removes risk factors that lead to musculoskeletal injuries and allows for improved human performance and increased productivity.

By making improvements to the work process, we can remove barriers to maximum safe work performance and provide workers with a job that is within a body’s capabilities and limitations.

Done well, an ergonomics improvement process can be a key contributor to business competitiveness in the marketplace and provide a better work experience for your people.

But where do you get started? LCE are proud to announce, for the first time in Ireland, a course for professionals, entitled “Certificate in Practical Ergonomics”. In short, this course will give you the know-how and tools to be able to carry out basic ergonomic assessments – this will include:

  • Physical assessments to optimise operator productivity and comfort, and
  • Assessments of the cognitive processes involved in human-system interaction and apply standard principles of design for information processing to reduce the potential for human error.”

Certificate in Practical Ergonomics” is one of the first courses of it’s kind in Ireland and is certified by LCE – Ireland’s recognised experts in the field of human factors and ergonomics. Contact LCE on 051 364344 or email info@LCE.ie for more information or to book this unique training course.
