Correct manual handling is important to minimise the risk of strain or injury when transporting or supporting a load. Assessing manual handling risks and providing appropriate training is a legal requirement for many workplaces.

This course provides participants with the necessary knowledge to carry out Manual Handling effectively in the workplace, reducing the potential for injury and reducing risk within the workplace.

This course is broken down into multiple stages. A theory section which provides useful information for safe manual handling in addition to an explanation into how our bodies are affected by poor manual handling, and a practical element where attendees are demonstrated how manual handling should be carried out followed by allowing the attendees to attempt manual handling tasks while applying the knowledge they have gained.
