Prerequisites: Attendees are required to have a working knowledge of workplace chemicals, including, but not limited to, experience of handling or working with workplace chemicals.

    • Occupational Exposure Limits
    • Existing controls:  Engineering/Administrative/PPE/Health Surveillance
  • Getting information from Safety Data Sheets
  • Overview of REACH/CLP/Chemical related legislation
  • Completing chemical risk assessment documentation

Upon completing this training course, a delegate should be able to:

  • Identify hazards associated with the use of chemicals
  • Have a basic understanding of health and safety legislation relating to the use of chemicals
  • Identify appropriate controls to progressively reduce risk to an acceptable level
